Surging Interest from UAE, US, and GCC Nations Highlights NRI Focused Strategy and Customer-Centric Approach

Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Experiences High Demand from NRIs Across UAE, US, and GCC Nations
The demand for Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance’s insurance products among non-resident Indians (NRIs) is rising, especially among those from the US, UK, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
. These five countries are the top markets driving the private insurer’s NRI business, underscoring the company’s strategic focus on the global Indian diaspora.
Rajesh Krishnan, Chief Operations & Customer Experience Officer at Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, shared insights into this growing demand. “We have a specialized approach to NRIs, supported by a dedicated team. Our representative office in Dubai, opened a year and a half ago, has been warmly received by the NRI community. This is especially true in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market, where substantial business is generated. The ‘Indian growth story’ appeals to NRIs, who see value in investing in Indian financial services, Krishnan said.
Focused Strategy for NRI Customers
Bajaj Allianz has tailored its offerings to meet the unique needs of NRIs. The company’s efforts include launching products specifically designed for NRIs and enhancing customer experiences based on feedback. For example, its video call center service has become particularly popular with NRI customers, allowing them to interact with Indian representatives and receive personalized assistance.
Furthermore, Bajaj Allianz offers medical testing facilities in 40 countries, with 20 of those countries offering home-based test services. The company’s dedication to making its insurance procedures easy and customer-focused is shown in this ease.
Key Markets: The US and UAE Set the Standard
The US and the UAE continue to be the main sources of funding for Bajaj Allianz’s NRI operations. The insurer has expanded its footprint in the United Arab Emirates by establishing a representative office and a committed team to serve the region’s sizable NRI community.
In the US, the company observes heightened interest from affluent professionals who see value in Indian insurance products. “Term policies in India are far less expensive than those provided by international insurers. The demand is driven by this as well as NRIs’ increasing desire to take part in India’s economic expansion, Krishnan noted.
Addressing Migration and Geopolitical Trends
Changes in geopolitics are having an impact on how NRI clients behave.
Krishnan noted that an increasing number of NRIs, particularly in the tech sector, are considering returning to India. Even those who remain abroad express a strong interest in supporting India’s growth story by investing in its financial markets, including Unit Linked Insurance Plans (ULIPs).
Digital Innovations and Customer-Centric Approach
Bajaj Allianz Life has consistently leveraged technology to enhance customer satisfaction. The company focuses on digital platforms to streamline processes and improve the ease of doing business. With a distribution network of over 560 branches, 1.59 lakh agents, and partnerships with 372 institutions, including 35 banks, the insurer ensures a robust outreach to its diverse clientele.
“Our philosophy is to prioritize customers in every initiative we undertake, whether it’s product development, service delivery, or process simplification,” Krishnan emphasized.
