Abu Dhabi Airport’s New Terminal A Set for Simultaneous Operation with Terminals 1, 2, and 3
Abu Dhabi’s newest terminal (Terminal A) at the airport will start operating alongside Terminals 1, 2, and 3 from November 1 to 14. The official opening of Terminal A is scheduled for November 1, marked by a ceremonial Etihad flight on October 31.
During the transition period, all airlines will gradually adjust to operating from Terminal A. Starting from November 15, all airlines will exclusively operate from this new terminal.
Abu Dhabi Airports has confirmed that all major services and facilities in the new terminal are prepared to receive passengers. An awareness campaign has been launched to guide passengers and visitors to the correct terminal. Travelers flying from Abu Dhabi between November 1 and 14 are advised to check their terminal information on the airport’s website.
The exact location of the new terminal has been updated on popular navigation apps like Google Maps and Waze. It is easily accessible by car from both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with clear signage along the highways.
Frank McCrorie, the Chief Operating Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, emphasized that the new terminal will significantly boost capacity. Passengers flying during this transition period are encouraged to verify their terminal information on the Abu Dhabi International Airport website or with their respective airlines.
Furthermore, inter-terminal shuttle buses have been implemented to facilitate quick transfers between terminals for passengers who require this service.
