UAE’s Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Calls for India-Pakistan Dialogue, Urges Restraint

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates’ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has encouraged Pakistan and India to emphasize diplomatic engagement, exercise moderation, and refrain from military escalation.

Amid rising tensions between the two South Asian neighbours, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has stressed the need to de-escalate tensions. He warned that any provocation could pose serious threats to regional and global peace. He stressed that lasting stability in South Asia can only be achieved through mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.

Emphasizing the value of diplomacy, Sheikh Abdullah urged both countries to heed global voices supporting peace and dialogue, and to strive for peaceful solutions rather than confrontational ones. He reaffirmed that diplomacy is the best way to resolve conflicts, realize national aspirations, and ensure prosperity and security in the region.

In addition, Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE’s continued commitment to actively promoting peace. He announced that the UAE will continue to support all regional and global efforts to mitigate the humanitarian consequences of crises and find peaceful solutions to disputes.
