Mecca Records Over 5 Million Worshippers in a Week, Offers Comprehensive Services

Between December 8 and 15, Mecca witnessed the presence of approximately 5,119,000 worshippers, according to the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque. The authority efficiently managed the entry of 501,938 visitors to Prophet Mohammed’s tomb, and 235,341 devotees performed prayers at the revered Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah.

Comprehensive services were extended to Mecca’s visitors, with 15,295 elderly and individuals with special needs accessing designated sites. Translation services in various languages were utilized by 87,446 people of diverse nationalities. Mecca’s library attracted 13,584 visitors, and 4,783 explored exhibitions and museums. Moreover, 8,638 individuals utilized phone services and other communication channels.

The authority went the extra mile by distributing over 111,600 bottles of Zamzam water, providing 92,992 Iftar meals, and gifting 42,125 presents to worshippers and visitors, reflecting its commitment to facilitating a meaningful and comfortable experience for all attendees.
