Dubai Gears Up for a Safe and Hygienic Eid Holiday with Intensified Inspections
Dubai: Dubai Municipality is fully prepared to ensure a safe and hygienic Eid holiday for all residents and visitors in the emirate. Ahead of the holiday, inspections have been intensified at food outlets and malls to ensure food safety. A team of 477 officers, including engineers, supervisors, inspectors and field officers, have been deployed at various locations to monitor hygiene standards.
Comprehensive plans have been planned to ensure food safety and public health, properly dispose of waste and control crowds at celebration venues. Inspection campaigns have also been intensified to ensure that health and safety standards are met at all stages of food handling, including cooking, storage and distribution. Food establishments operating in crowded entertainment centers are being specially monitored.
Comprehensive cleaning plans have been implemented at prayer places, markets, labor camps, salons, beaches, roads and public facilities. Additional garbage bins have been installed in high-traffic areas. Pest control measures have also been taken at tourist attractions, public parks and lakes. Additional security personnel have been deployed to ensure better safety for beach users. Special facilities have also been made available at the beaches for the disability and the old people.
