Abu Dhabi: Today is December 2. The UAE’s 53rd National Day. The UAE celebrates this day as Eid Al Etihad, a day of unity, progress, and awakening. The seven emirates came together on December 2, 1971, with the idea of ​​forming a single union.

The then ruler, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, led the way. With one-tenth of the world’s oil reserves in the UAE, the region has flourished economically and the UAE has become one of the world’s most important employers.

The country is preparing to celebrate the National Day in a big way. There will be several Eid Al Etihad zones in the country’s seven emirates. Al Ain will be the main venue for Eid Al Etihad. Officials have announced that extensive celebrations will be held in the country’s emirates, including Dubai and Sharjah.

Public holidays have also been declared on December 2 and 3. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization has announced that the holiday applies to both the public and private sectors. The government has also issued guidelines for the public to follow in connection with the celebration.
