Umm Al Qaiwain Ruler Mourns the Passing of His Mother

Umm Al Qaiwain: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, has announced with deep sorrow the passing of his beloved mother, Sheikha Hassa bint Hamid bin Abdulrahman Al-Shamsi.

In honor of her memory, the Ruler’s Court has declared three days of official mourning, beginning today. As part of the mourning period, flags will be flown at half-mast across the emirate.

The funeral prayers will take place today following the Dhuhr prayer at Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mualla Mosque in Al Raas, Umm Al Qaiwain. The ruling family, dignitaries, and civilians are expected to come together to pay their final respects.

Sheikha Hassa bint Hamid bin Abdulrahman Al-Shamsi will be remembered for her services to the community and her support for Umm Al Qaiwain’s leadership.
