Rainfall, Cumulus Clouds, and Reduced Visibility Predicted Through the Week in Northern and Eastern UAE

Heavy Rains, Strong Winds Expected Across Northern UAE Regions, Says NCM
According to a report issued by the National Center for Meteorology (NCM), the northern parts of the country will experience heavy to moderate rains. The affected areas include Al Madam, Niswa, Al Badih, Al Fayeh, Meliha Road, Ibn Rashid in Sharjah and Wadi Al Naqab in Ras Al Khaimah, Emirates Road towards Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
The NCM said surface runoff has occurred due to heavy rains in northern regions.
It also cited the formation of cumulus clouds with rainfall and strong winds, resulting in occasional suspended dust and sand particles, with speeds reaching 45 km/h. This reduced the horizontal visibility to less than 3,000 meters in some eastern and northern areas from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, the NCM added.
Earlier, the NCM predicted the probability of rain and active winds, sometimes exceeding 45 km/h, resulting in suspended dust particles in the atmosphere, with horizontal visibility reduced to some east and less than 3,000 meters. Today Sunday from 1 pm to 8 pm Northern Regions.
In view of the inclement weather, Abu Dhabi Police has advised the public to exercise caution and follow the revised speed limits indicated on electronic signs and road signs.
Broadly, the NCM has predicted that today’s weather, Sunday, will be clear and partly cloudy, with the possibility of cumulus clouds forming in the east and north in the afternoon, which may extend to some interior and southern areas.
These clouds are accompanied by precipitation, and the wind is light to moderate, occasionally gusty.
This will lead to reduction in horizontal visibility and sea conditions will be characterized by light to medium waves, which may disturb North Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea from time to time on Monday morning. The NCM further said that the weather will be partly cloudy on Monday with the possibility of cumulus clouds forming over eastern and northern regions, which may extend to some interior and southern regions.
These clouds are accompanied by precipitation and a slight drop in temperature.
Winds are southeast to northeast, light to moderate, and occasionally gusty.
This wind will cause dust and dust particles, which will cause the horizontal visibility and its speed to decrease from 15 to 30 to 45 km/h. Also, moderate to rough seas in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to light waves in the Oman Sea.
Tuesday is expected to be clear and partly overcast according to the NCM, with the potential of cumulus clouds and rain across the eastern and southern regions. In addition, winds of 10 to 25 km/h with sporadic up to 35 km/h gusts are predicted to blow from the southeast to the northeast.
Seas are expected to remain calm in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. As for the weather on Wednesday, the NCM has predicted that the weather will remain partly cloudy, especially over eastern areas, with a chance of rain over coastal and inland areas during the night and Thursday morning. Winds are expected to be southwesterly to northeasterly with gusts of 10 to 25 kmph and sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are expected to be mild.
