The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is collaborating with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to organize this esteemed occasion.

The purpose of the conference is to promote scientific research and higher education in the Arab world by bringing together officials, education experts, and prominent delegations from all around the region. With the theme of this year’s conference, “A Flexible Higher Education System Adapts to Rapid Global Developments,” the importance of updating educational institutions to keep up with the rapid changes in global society is emphasized.

The main topics of discussion will be methods for improving and reforming curriculum, cultivating human capital, and guaranteeing the creation of competitive, superior educational systems that satisfy international standards.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, the UAE’s Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, emphasized the significance of the conference as a key event that will influence the future of education within the Arab region. He pointed out that the UAE’s role as the host country reflects its leadership in the education sector and its dedication to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between Arab nations.

“The objective is to develop proactive policies and frameworks that will elevate the quality of education and improve the competitiveness of educational institutions across the Arab world,” Dr. Al Awar stated.

Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, praised the UAE’s continuous support for educational advancements in the Arab region. He remarked that the conference aligns with the broader goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda, which calls for enhancing digital transformation, ensuring quality assurance, and improving governance in higher education systems across the Arab world.

This gathering represents a vital opportunity for the Arab nations to share best practices, innovate in educational policy, and work toward building a more adaptable and globally competitive higher education ecosystem. The conference will also play an important role in accelerating the implementation of reforms that promote inclusivity, digitalization, and sustainability within Arab universities and academic institutions.
