Sheikh Abdullah urges peace, protection for civilians, and sustained UAE support for Palestine

UAE Urges Ceasefire in Gaza, Calls for Lasting Peace and Humanitarian Aid
Abu Dhabi: UAE has called on Israel to resume the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and to ensure the release of hostages. The request was made by UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, who is currently visiting the UAE.
Discussing the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, Sheikh Abdullah called for avoiding the spread of the conflict to more areas. He reiterated the UAE’s support for protecting civilians and providing relief to the victims.
Talks should be activated to achieve a lasting peace in the region based on a two-state solution.
Stressing the importance of ending terrorism, tensions and violence in the region, he called for the international community to intervene for security, stability and a dignified life.
Sheikh Abdullah pointed out the grave humanitarian situation facing civilians in Gaza. He said that all efforts will continue to ensure the safe, stable and unhindered flow of urgent humanitarian assistance. He also stressed that the UAE’s support for the Palestinian people will continue.
Regional and international efforts to combat terrorism, hatred and racism will be strengthened. Collective efforts will be encouraged to promote the UAE’s values of tolerance, coexistence and brotherhood internationally. The discussion was also attended by Mohammed Mahmoud Al Khaja, UAE Ambassador to Israel, and Saeed Mubarak Al Hajiri, Minister of State for Economic and Commercial Affairs.
