UAE Jiu-Jitsu Team Secures Seven Medals at World Championship in Greece

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu National Team, backed by Mubadala Investment Company, achieved outstanding success on Day 2 of the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship in Heraklion, Greece, bringing home a total of seven medals. This impressive performance included two gold, three silver, and two bronze medals, showcasing the strength and skill of the UAE’s athletes on the world stage.

Gold Medals

  • Omar Al Suwaidi (56 kg) and Khaled Al Shehhi (62 kg) each took home a gold medal in their respective weight categories. Their victories reflect the culmination of months of rigorous training and preparation, setting a high standard for the UAE in the global competition.

Silver Medals

  • Balqees Abdul Karim (45 kg), Zayed Alkatheeri (56 kg), and Mohammed Al Suwaidi (69 kg) earned silver medals, further contributing to the UAE’s successful medal haul. These athletes demonstrated remarkable skill and resilience, pushing their limits in highly competitive matches.

Bronze Medals
