Sharjah [United Arab Emirates], November 25: Over 6,000 people were left in awe of the Tanweer Festival’s colorful celebration of culture, art, and humanity as its first edition came to a close.
Spanning three remarkable days, the festival provided an unforgettable experience rooted in enlightenment and creativity.
Held amidst the picturesque and historically rich landscape of Sharjah’s Mleiha Desert, the closing ceremony on November 24 was a fitting culmination of an extraordinary weekend. Attendees were treated to a symphony of music, poetry, artistic performances, and immersive activities, all crafted under the overarching theme: Rumi: Echoes of Love and Light.
A Festival Like No Other
From November 22 to 24, the Mleiha Desert became a hub of cultural and artistic expression, blending natural beauty with human ingenuity. The festival is the brainchild of its visionary founder, Sheikha Podur bint Sultan Al Qasimi, who fine-tuned every element to provide a transformative journey for festival-goers. The theme is inspired by the timeless teachings of Rumi, emphasizing love, light and unity.
The festival’s slogan, “Your Journey Begins Here,” resonated deeply with participants as they delved deeper into self-awareness, culture, sustainability, and shared humanity.
