Sheikh Hamdan Leads Discussions on Sustainable Development and Collaborative Initiatives

UAE and Uzbekistan Strengthen Strategic Partnership Through Knowledge Exchange Retreat

UAE-Uzbekistan was joined by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan Sayda Mirziyoyeva and Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kodjev. Exchange of government knowledge held in Tashkent on Friday.

Organized during his official visit to Uzbekistan, the retreat focused on enhancing knowledge exchange and expanding the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Sheikh Hamdan said the UAE is always keen to build fruitful partnerships with countries around the world. He is headed by President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE is committed to fostering collaborations that promote growth and empower communities to create a more prosperous future for generations to come.

Sheikh Hamdan added that the strategic partnership with Uzbekistan has led to exceptional results in various fields and serves as a unique model for international cooperation.

“The cooperation focuses on promoting sustainable development. Knowledge-sharing and improving government systems to increase efficiency, flexibility and future-readiness, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life of the people of both countries.”

The Government Knowledge Exchange Retreat provides a unique platform for ministers and senior officials of both countries to share ideas and experiences and discuss ambitious initiatives and transformational plans.

Discussions at the event focused on improving governance, accelerating digital transformation and improving economic opportunities, bringing multiple benefits to the people of both countries.

In his speech at the retreat, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gharqawi highlighted the evolution of the UAE-Uzbekistan strategic partnership that was launched in 2019. Over the past five years, this collaboration has led to significant achievements in 41 sectors. .

Al Gerqawi stressed the importance of the retreat in generating new ideas and solutions to advance key sectors essential for sustainable development. He outlined the successes of the UAE-Uzbekistan partnership, saying it is a global model of cooperation that benefits communities and fosters a brighter future.

The UAE-Uzbekistan government knowledge exchange retreat discussed transformative projects and strategic initiatives that will foster new avenues of cooperation between the UAE and Uzbekistan. It discussed new approaches to exchange expertise, adopt best practices and generate ideas to accelerate progress in key national sectors.

The retreat covered eight key areas including investment and economic growth, energy and infrastructure development, and digital transformation. Education and Community Development, Environment, Health, Tourism and Government Development
