UAE: Taaleem to Manage Prestigious Harrow Schools Nationwide

Dubai-based Taaleem has acquired the rights to Harrow International Schools Ltd from the UK, securing exclusive ownership and operational rights for these prestigious schools throughout the UAE. This significant acquisition marks a milestone for Taaleem as it integrates one of the world’s most distinguished educational institutions into its portfolio.

Harrow has long been renowned as the educational institution of choice for British prime ministers, aristocrats, and prominent societal figures over the centuries. The school’s illustrious history includes the education and nurturing of some of the world’s most influential figures, such as poet Lord Byron, wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Indian statesman Jawaharlal Nehru, King Hussein of Jordan, the former rulers of Iraq and Zanzibar, Nobel laureate Lord Rayleigh, seven UK Prime Ministers, and numerous other notable influencers, inventors, artists, and Nobel Laureates. Harrow’s legacy of academic excellence and leadership has cemented its status as a beacon of high educational standards.

In addition to securing rights within the UAE, the agreement grants Taaleem operational rights in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait. This expansion aligns with Taaleem’s strategy to increase its regional presence and diversify its educational offerings, complementing its objectives as a Dubai Financial Markets (DFM) listed entity. The inclusion of Harrow International Schools in these markets is anticipated to significantly boost the availability of premium education across the GCC region, contributing to the growth and development of the educational sector.
