AI Education Begins in Early Childhood

Originally intended for high school students, the AI curriculum has now been expanded to include even nursery-level learners. The decision was based on how frequently children, even at a young age, interact with AI-powered tools like voice assistants (e.g., Alexa). The curriculum will cover fundamental AI concepts, including understanding AI biases, creating compelling stimuli, ethically using AI, and using AI tools for research without plagiarism. The curriculum will be limited to 20 hours per academic year to ensure age-appropriate learning.

According to recent tests, students in the UAE are scoring below global standards in key academic areas, despite the country’s high standard of living.
