UAE Mediates Fourth Major Prisoner Swap Between Russia and Ukraine This Year

Russia and Ukraine have successfully conducted a significant exchange of prisoners of war, marking the fourth major swap of the year. This latest exchange follows three other significant swaps earlier this year. In January, one of the most complex deals of the conflict saw 248 prisoners returned to Russia and 230 Ukrainians returned home. These exchanges were also mediated by the UAE, highlighting the nation’s pivotal role in facilitating these negotiations.
