UAE Leaders Approve Dh7.7-Billion Housing Benefits for National Day

Abu Dhabi Announces Dh7.7 Billion Housing Benefits for 5,374 Citizens

Abu Dhabi on Friday announced housing benefits worth Dh7.7 billion to support 5,374 citizens across the emirate, in line with Eid Al Etihad celebrations.

Sheikh Mohammed, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, approved the distribution of the third housing benefits package in 2024.

The third package includes housing loans worth more than Dh3.569 billion, benefiting 2,373 citizens. The package includes residential land and housing grants worth Dh3.67 billion, benefiting 2,540 citizens.

In addition, senior citizens, low-income retirees and families of deceased citizens have been exempted from housing loan payments amounting to more than Dh486 million. This relief directly benefited 461 citizens in the emirate.

Through this package, the total value of housing benefits distributed in 2024 reached AED 13.216 billion, benefiting 8,891 citizens across the emirate, including the exemption of senior citizens, low-income retirees and families of deceased citizens from housing loan payments. A total of AED 847.2 million – benefiting 805 citizens – and housing loans totaling AED 8.361 billion – benefiting 5,194 citizens – and AED 4 billion in residential land and housing grants, benefiting 2,892 citizens.

Through this package, the total value of housing benefits distributed since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority reached approximately AED 162.1 billion, covering more than 118,700 housing benefits.
