UAE to Launch New Aid Agency to Enhance Global Humanitarian Efforts
Local media said Monday that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will create a new aid organization to further the nation’s humanitarian advancements worldwide.
In order to meet pressing global needs, including as disaster relief, recovery, post-conflict stability, development, and capacity building initiatives, the UAE Aid Agency will carry out foreign aid programs, the statement stated.
Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the establishment of the agency “marks the continuation of the country’s strong humanitarian legacy”.
He added that it underscores the UAE’s commitment to addressing global challenges and advancing sustainable development.
To date, the UAE has provided more than $98 billion in foreign aid, reaching more than a billion people worldwide, the report said.
