Explore the benefits, eligibility criteria, and application process for the UAE's Golden Visa program.

UAE Golden Visa: A Gateway for Skilled Professionals and Investors
The UAE’s Golden Visa program is crafted to attract and retain skilled professionals, investors, and entrepreneurs, offering a path to long-term residency, tax-free earnings, and a high standard of living. This visa provides multiple-entry permits, extended residency, and the ability to sponsor family members. With no need for a local sponsor, holders can freely live and work in the UAE, making it a prime choice for business-minded residents.
Golden Visa for Professionals
Qualified skilled workers can apply for the Golden Visa if they have an employment contract with a UAE company for a role categorized under occupational levels 1 or 2 by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre). Level 1 encompasses executive roles, while Level 2 includes professionals in science, engineering, health, education, IT, law, and culture. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree and must earn at least Dh30,000 monthly.
Application Requirements
Applicants working for mainland companies need a Ministry of Labour contract, and those in free zones require a salary certificate from the relevant authority, both reflecting a Dh30,000 minimum salary. They must submit a six-month bank statement, an attested degree, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer, a nomination letter from relevant ministries, comprehensive health insurance, passport details, and a recent photo. Applications can be processed either through Dubai’s GDRFA or the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICA).
Nomination and Application
Nomination letters are needed for specific fields, such as culture, sports, and innovation. After nomination approval, applicants can complete their application with the GDRFA or ICA, selecting digital or in-person options.
Expanding Visa Opportunities
The Golden Visa also attracts investors, entrepreneurs, and top talents across fields like science, technology, and sports. Outstanding students, PhD holders, and specialists in fields like AI, big data, and biotechnology are eligible. Dubai’s 10-year Gaming Visa aims to attract global gaming professionals, while Golden Visas for educators highlight UAE’s commitment to exceptional teaching. This program reflects the UAE’s growing appeal for long-term foreign residents, with options spanning property investment and professional accomplishments.
