Abdallah bin Zayed, the United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister, said that the ‘day after’ in Gaza will not play a role without the establishment of a Palestinian state.

This is not the first time that the UAE’s top diplomat has drawn red lines over its involvement in Gaza.

This is not the first time that the UAE’s top diplomat has drawn red lines over its involvement in Gaza.

In May, Bin Zayed condemned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s suggestion that Abu Dhabi would help local Palestinians manage Gaza after the war.

Bin Zayed tweeted condemning Netanyahu’s proposal to “participate in the civil administration of the Gaza Strip under Israeli occupation.”

“The UAE emphasizes that the Israeli prime minister does not have the legal capacity to take this action, and the administration refuses to interfere in any plan aimed at protecting the Israeli presence in the Gaza Strip,” he added.
