UAE Elected to ASOSAI Governing Council for 2024–2027 Term
The UAE Accountability Commission, representing the UAE, has been elected to the ASOSAI Governing Council for the 2024–2027 term, according to a statement released by the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI).
The decision was taken during the 16th ASOSAI Assembly held in New Delhi, India under the chairmanship of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
The UAE delegation, led by Humaid Obaid Abu Shabazz, Chairman of the UAE Accountability Commission, attended the meeting, which focuses on promoting cooperation among Asian countries in public finance and audit oversight under the broader framework of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the International Organization. (INTOSAI).
On the sidelines of the event, UAE representatives held bilateral meetings with representatives of other participating countries to strengthen cooperation in audit and financial supervision.
