UAE banks to create 1,700 job opportunities by 2026
Emiratisation Efforts Boost Employment Opportunities in the Financial Sector with a Focus on Citizen Empowerment

UAE Launches Initiative to Create 1,700 Banking Jobs in Al Ain by 2026
The Nafeez Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council has launched an interesting program that will create at least 1,700 employment in the UAE banking sector in Al Ain. By helping unemployed UAE citizens integrate into the financial industry, the strategic move seeks to promote career advancement and financial security.
Vision initiative for employment growth
This program, which was started under the direction of Sheikh Hassan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for the Al Ain Region, is a significant step in the advancement of Emiratization activities. With an emphasis on citizen empowerment, the UAE aims to combat unemployment while encouraging public involvement in the banking and financial services industry.
The program’s first phase, developed in partnership with the UAE Central Bank, targets the creation of at least 1,700 jobs in the financial and banking sectors by the year 2026. According to Gulf News, the collaboration includes some of the nation’s largest financial institutions, such as Emirates NBD, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and HSBC.
Strengthening Citizen Participation
This effort, which is among the UAE’s most ambitious plans, demonstrates a dedication to increasing Emirati representation in positions in the private sector, especially in financial services. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Khaled Mohamed Balama, the governor of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, held a crucial meeting to formally launch it.
This revelation is consistent with the UAE’s larger private sector employment successes. More than 108,000 Emirati nationals are currently employed in the private sector, a phenomenal 201% rise in participation, according to recent figures. Interestingly, women make up 70% of this workforce, demonstrating how the country prioritizes gender inclusion in its ambitions for economic development.
A Transformative Step Forward
This creative project demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to developing talent and advancing economic development. The initiative represents a major turning point in transforming the financial industry and enabling UAE citizens to play a crucial part in the country’s development trajectory by utilizing alliances with top institutions and opening up channels for public participation.
