UAE Announces Petrol and Diesel Prices for November 2024

Petrol and diesel prices see increases as UAE aligns with global market trends

UAE Fuel Price Committee Announces November 2024 Rates

The UAE fuel price committee has officially announced the petrol and diesel prices for November 2024, with the new rates taking effect from November 1. This monthly review is part of the UAE’s long-standing policy to align fuel prices with global market trends following the deregulation of petrol prices in 2015.

New Fuel Prices
The updated prices for various types of fuel are as follows:

Super 98 Petrol: Now priced at Dh2.74 per litre, an increase from Dh2.66 in October. Super 98 is known for its high octane rating, making it suitable for high-performance vehicles.

Special 95 Petrol: The price has risen to Dh2.63 per litre, up from Dh2.54. This grade is commonly used in most vehicles and balances performance with cost.

E-Plus 91 Petrol: This fuel will cost Dh2.55 per litre, an increase from Dh2.47 in the previous month. E-Plus 91 is often chosen by consumers looking for a more economical option without compromising too much on performance.

Diesel: The diesel price has been set at Dh2.67 per litre, compared to Dh2.60 previously. Diesel is predominantly used in commercial vehicles and for industrial applications, and its pricing reflects fluctuations in global oil markets.

Price Adjustment Context
The UAE decided to de-regulate petrol prices in order to react more quickly to changes in the price of oil on a global scale. Since then, monthly reviews and adjustments to fuel prices have been made in accordance with the average price of crude oil on international markets. A market-oriented approach to energy pricing is encouraged by this policy, which also enables the UAE to efficiently manage its fuel subsidies.

Consumers and businesses in the UAE should be prepared for these changes as they can affect transportation costs, product prices, and overall economic activity in the region. The fuel price committee will continue to monitor global market conditions, ensuring that the prices remain competitive and reflective of current trends.

The new fuel prices for November 2024 signify a trend in rising costs, aligning with global oil market movements, and highlighting the importance of understanding fuel economics in the UAE.
