UAE Announces December 2024 Fuel Price Cuts; Gasoline Prices Drop, Diesel Price Rises Slightly
The Fuel Pricing Committee announced that the price of gasoline will decrease by 12 to 13 fils per liter starting in December 2024.
The cost of gasoline has increased by one fils per liter since November 2024. This is the sixth cut in fuel prices this year, following those in January, June, July, September, and October of 2024.
The new rates have been announced by fuel distribution companies and will come into effect from Sunday, December 1, 2024. The revised prices include 5% Value Added Tax (VAT).
The price of Super 98 petrol has decreased by 13 fils, or 4.7%, from AED 2.74 in November to AED 2.61 in December.
Likewise, Special 95 gasoline has dropped 13 fils, or 5%, from AED 2.63 in November to AED 2.50 in December.
The price of E-Plus 91 petrol also fell by 12 fils, from 2.55 AED in November to 2.43 AED in December, a decline of 4.7%. However, diesel prices rose by 1 fil per liter, from 2.67 in November to 2.68 in December.
