UAE Aid Agency and Swiss Development Cooperation Discuss Collaborative Humanitarian Efforts at DIHAD
Dubai, UAE — April 29: The UAE Aid Agency and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) held a strategic meeting at the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD) to explore potential areas of partnership in humanitarian and developmental initiatives.
During their discussions, the two agencies focused on how they could jointly address global challenges and further the goals outlined in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They emphasized cooperation in improving living conditions in vulnerable communities around the world.
Patricia Danzi, Director-General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, attended the conference. Both sides looked at several ways to increase their combined influence in fields like social development, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and environmental preservation.
The UAE and Swiss organizations hope to increase the efficacy of their humanitarian endeavors by coordinating their efforts, guaranteeing that vital interventions not only meet urgent needs but also support long-term sustainable development and the welfare of the world.
