Tragic Update: Second Pilot Confirmed Deceased in AeroGulf Helicopter Accident
It has been determined that the second pilot who was killed in the Thursday Bell 212 helicopter accident operated by AeroGulf is deceased. The business confirmed both pilots’ deaths on Sunday in a statement following extensive search efforts since the disaster.No passengers were on the chopper; just two crew members were. A statement from Aerogulf claims that at 8:07 p.m. on September 7, 2023, the helicopter fell into the water off the coast of the UAE while carrying out ordinary training operations between Al Maktoum International Airport and an offshore site.
The first pilot’s death was verified on Friday by the UAE’s General Aviation Authority, but the second crew member’s whereabouts were still unknown. According to the aviation authorities, one of the pilots is Egyptian and the other is South African.

Specially trained staff have been available to offer support and help to them.The chopper pilot stated that Aerogulf was still collaborating with the law enforcement in order to retrieve the wreckage and look into what caused the tragedy.
