Mansoor Wangnoo Receives 2024 Global Leaders Social Impact Award in Dubai

Dubai, Sep 14: Mansoor Ahmed Wangnoo, Chairman of the Niger Lake Conservation Organization (NLCO), has been honored with the 2024 Global Leaders Award – Social Impact Award by Her Excellency Laila Rahal El Aftani, President and Founder of Business Gate, UAE. Global Leaders Conference in Al Busan, Dubai.

This prestigious award recognizes his exceptional leadership and impactful contribution to environmental protection and social welfare, a statement said.

The conference kicked off with an inspiring and moving speech by Habiba Al Marashi, founder of Emirates Environmental Group, during the morning session

. His inspiring words set the tone for the event, stressing the importance of joint efforts in protecting the environment, the statement said.

Wangnoo thanked his parents for instilling in him the virtues of environmental protection and expressed his sincere thanks upon earning the prize.

He also expressed gratitude to his hardworking staff at NLCO for their unwavering support in advancing the company’s goal of restoring Kashmir’s natural resources and water bodies.

“I am humbled to receive this recognition, which is a testament to our collective efforts in protecting our environment for future generations,” Wangnoo said.

He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, especially Dr. Halima Sadia, Managing Director, Edufam International Academy, for providing a platform to celebrate people with disabilities worldwide.

The award presentation was a significant moment at the conference, which brought together global leaders, activists and community influencers, highlighting the important role of individuals like Wangnu in raising environmental awareness and driving community-led conservation efforts.
