Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Receives Grand Welcome in India to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

New Delhi, September 9- The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, who has come to India for the first time, has been accorded a grand welcome in Delhi.

India-UAE Relations:
India maintains excellent relations with the UAE, one of the Arab countries. Especially in the last 10 years of Prime Minister Modi’s rule, this relationship is reaching more heights.

Both countries have been each other’s largest trading partners. This is evidenced by the fact that in the last financial year 2022-23, the trade between the two countries was more than Rs.7 lakh crore.

The UAE is one of the top 4 countries with FDI in India.

2 Day Trip:
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in India yesterday for a 2-day visit to further strengthen such special relations.

He was accompanied by a high-level delegation including various ministers and trade representatives from the Emirates.
Coming to India for the first time as the Crown Prince, he was accorded a grand welcome in Delhi.
Accordingly Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal received him at the airport. He was then accorded a traditional welcome. It was a great reflection of the importance India attaches to the prince’s visit.

Meeting with Modi today:
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, who has arrived in India, participated in various programs yesterday.
Following this, he will meet Prime Minister Modi today (Monday) in Delhi. Then energy. The two sides discussed ways to improve bilateral relations in various fields including connectivity.
After finishing his events in Delhi he is going to Mumbai. He will attend an event attended by leading business personalities from both countries.

Cooperation in new fields:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the visit of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to India will strengthen the relationship between the two countries and further cooperation in new and emerging fields.
The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s visit to India has drawn international attention amid tensions in West Asia over the Israel-Gaza war.
