Sharjah Launches UAE’s First Holy Quran TV Channel

Sharjah authorities launched the first Holy Quran TV channel in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday, August 16, under the slogan “Be with Allah and you will find Allah with you”.

It comes under the guidance of Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

This is part of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s efforts to expand the media and education sector.

Available 24/7, the new channel offers viewers a wide range of content including Holy Quran recitation, Quran studies and Quran lectures.

Also, the channel will telecast weekly Friday prayers, Taraweeh prayers and Qiyam prayers live during the holy month of Ramzan.

Short educational programs will be implemented to simplify religious concepts and make them accessible to the general public.

Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of SBA, emphasized the importance of the Ruler of Sharjah’s support for establishing the channel in promoting the teachings of the Holy Quran, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

“This initiative aims to provide a specialized media platform to deliver purposeful and inspiring religious content. It also seeks to set a benchmark in religious media, not only in the UAE, but across the Islamic world, with the aim of positively impacting audiences and society,” added Al Qaidi. .
