UAE Warned of Tropical Storm’s Impact: High Winds and Rough Seas Expected
United Arab Emirates citizens are advised to stay away from a tropical storm that is now situated in the northeast of the Arabian Sea, according to the National Meteorological Centre (NCM).
With a predicted 48-hour duration, the storm—which is now travelling at 7 km/h—will have an indirect impact on the nation.
The NCM said that the current wind speed of 60 to 70 kmph is likely to increase to 80 kmph in the next 48 hours.
The Meteorological Center has informed that people should be cautious as the cyclone continues to intensify.
The meteorological department said that due to cloud cover from the Arabian Sea, there will be rain in the eastern and southern regions.
Seas in the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Gulf are expected to be rough, and sea levels may rise at some east coast beaches during high tide on Sunday and Monday.
