UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai showcases heritage, space, sustainability, and future vision

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has expressed his gratitude to the UAE delegation at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai for effectively representing the country and sharing its story with the world.
Sharing images from his visit to the Expo, Sheikh Mohammed commended the team behind the UAE pavilion, calling them “unsung heroes.” He praised their dedication in traveling the world to present the UAE’s rich culture, identity, and future aspirations, as well as forging new relationships for the nation. He highlighted the Expo’s worldwide influence by pointing out that it draws more than 15,000 people every day.
Sheikh Mohammed reflected on the UAE’s long-standing connection with Japan, which dates back to 1972, and emphasized how the country’s involvement in major events, such as Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, has reinforced links with other countries.
Inspired by the palm tree and the traditional ‘Arish’ houses built of palm leaves, he expressed love for the design of the UAE pavilion. According to Sheikh Mohammed, the pavilion strikes a balance between respecting the UAE’s true history and embracing its future aspirations. Among other things, it highlights the nation’s accomplishments in space exploration, health, and sustainability.
Sheikh Mohammed also acknowledged the genius of Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed, who oversaw the design and development of the pavilion, and thanked her for showcasing it to the world.
Located in the Empowering Lives Zone, the UAE pavilion was unveiled on April 8, 2025, with the theme “Earth to Ether.” It encourages international cooperation with the goal of disseminating UAE ideals and concepts while investigating the country’s contributions to a prosperous, sustainable future.
