Sheikh Mohammed Approves 3,000 New Homes for Young Families

A housing project construction worth 3,000 residential units worth Dh5.4 billion was approved by the Dubai Ruler on Sunday.

The initiative will support the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme, launched on January 4, which aims to improve family stability, improve quality of life, and promote work-life balance through financial, social, and educational support measures.

Announcing the approval of the program, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said, “Our goal is to encourage young people to get married, provide families with decent homes, and improve their quality of life.” “The quality of life of our young people as they start their lives.”

These residential buildings will be given preference to those taking part in the ‘Dubai Weddings’ initiative, which will help young Emiratis start families by reducing the financial and practical burdens of marriage.

The ruler of Dubai said, “Hind bint Maktoum, Hamdan bin Mohammed, Maktoum bin Mohammed and I will continue to support everything that contributes to the prosperity, stability and comfort of our citizens.”

Sheikh Mohammed’s wife introduced the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Plan, which offers 10 days of paid wedding leave to spouses employed by Dubai government departments and allows mothers to work remotely on Fridays for the first year following maternity leave.

In a statement released by the Dubai Government Media Office (GMO), Sheikha Hind stated that “strong families are essential to building a better future.” “We are committed to fulfilling the aspirations of every Emirati family in Dubai, ensuring their lasting happiness and stability, and empowering them to raise future generations who can shape a brighter tomorrow,” the statement read.

As long as the beneficiaries of the Marriage Scheme earn no more than 30,000 dirhams per month, Dubai is lowering the monthly premium on home loans to a minimum of 3,333 dirhams.

The initiatives were announced on January 4, the day Sheikh Mohammed ascended to the throne of Dubai. This year, he dedicated the day to his wife, “the most beautiful thing in his life”, his “greatest supporter” and “the soul of Dubai”.
