Sheikh Hamdan Announces Key Leadership Appointments at Dubai’s CDA

Dubai: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, has announced a series of new appointments at the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai. The appointments were made in his capacity as the Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

With Sheikh Hamdan’s Executive Council Decision Nos. 103, 104, and 105 of 2024, the new appointments were formally announced. Following the new rulings, Huraiz Almur Bin Huraiz was named CEO of the Regulation and Social Services Sector, Saeed Ahmed Thani Al Tayer was named CEO of the Social Development Sector, and Maitha Mohammed Al Shamsi was named CEO of the Community Empowerment Sector at CDA Dubai.

Efforts are being made to improve leadership in the authority and align its vision with Dubai’s larger goals of social empowerment, community development and service regulation. Officially published in the Official Gazette of the UAE, the results will come into effect immediately upon publication.

The Community Development Authority plays a key role in overseeing and implementing social welfare programmes, ensuring community empowerment and leading initiatives that support Dubai’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive society. With the newly appointed leadership, CDA hopes to strengthen its operational capacity and further strengthen its mission to improve social services for residents across the emirate.
