Rain and Fog in These UAE Areas; Relief from the Heat

NCM predicts rain in northern UAE, fog formation inland, and fluctuating temperatures with strong winds

UAE Weather Update: Rain and Fog Expected in Some Areas

Abu Dhabi: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert predicting rain in some parts of the UAE today. Light rainfall is expected in the northern regions, according to the forecast.

The sky will remain partly cloudy throughout the day, with cloudy conditions continuing into the night and early Monday morning.

The NCM also warned of high humidity at night and early Monday, with a possibility of fog formation in some inland areas. Light to moderate winds from the southeast and occasional northwesterly winds may bring a refreshing change.

Late at night, wind speeds over the sea may range between 10 to 20 km/h, occasionally reaching up to 40 km/h. The Arabian Gulf will experience slight to moderate waves late at night and early Monday morning, while the Oman Sea may see slight waves.

In Dubai, the daytime temperature is expected to reach 33°C. The NCM predicts a low-pressure system from the southwest until February 26, followed by a high-pressure system from the west. UAE residents can expect rising temperatures over the weekend.

However, from Monday to Wednesday, particularly in coastal and western regions, temperatures are expected to drop significantly. Light to moderate rain is also forecasted from Monday evening to Tuesday in coastal, northern, and eastern areas.

During this period, strong winds may cause dust storms, reducing horizontal visibility. The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are expected to have slight to moderate waves on Saturday and Sunday.
