Pakistan and UAE Commit to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD

On Sunday, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan decided to strengthen their political, cultural, and economic connections.

This occurred in the Pakistani city of Rahim Yar Khan during a meeting between UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders also talked on a number of topics, including as climate change, regional stability, economic cooperation, and advancing shared interests internationally.

Sharif underlined Pakistan’s readiness to expand cooperation in areas such as renewable energy, technology, trade, infrastructure and capacity building.

For his part, Al Nahyan highlighted the UAE’s keen interest in cooperating with Pakistan in the mining, minerals and agriculture sectors, according to the statement.

He reiterated the UAE’s commitment to enhancing its long-standing partnership with Pakistan.
