Pakistan Thrash UAE by 10 Wickets in U-19 Tri-Series Opener

DUBAI: Pakistan secured a dominant 10-wicket win over UAE in the opening match of the U-19 tri-series at the ICC Academy on Wednesday, thanks to an unbroken opening partnership of 193 runs between Shahzaib Khan and Usman Khan.

Set a target of 192 runs, the Pakistani openers chased down the total comfortably in the 43rd over. Shahzaib, the left-handed opener, played a steady innings, finishing unbeaten on 109 off 133 balls, with 10 boundaries and two sixes. Usman, his left-handed partner, supported well with a knock of 77 not out from 122 balls, which included three fours.

Earlier, UAE, put in to bat, were bowled out for 191 in 49.3 overs. Uddish Suri was the top scorer for the hosts with 40 runs off 63 balls, while Madhav Manoj (34) and Yayin Rai (33) contributed to the total. However, five of UAE’s batters were run out during the innings.

For Pakistan, Abdul Subhan was the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets for 42 runs in 10 overs. Ali Raza, Hassan Khan, and Usman Khan each picked up one wicket.
