New Joint Venture Aims to Revolutionize UAE’s Space Industry with $100 Million Investment and LEO Satellite Constellations

Orbitworks: UAE’s First Private Space Infrastructure Firm Launched by Marlan Space and Loft Orbital

A new aerospace company affiliated with Abu Dhabi-based Marlon Space International Holding Company (IHC) is in a joint venture with Loft Orbital to create Orbit Works, the Middle East’s first private space infrastructure company.

Orbit Works is a significant milestone in the UAE’s fast-growing space industry, becoming the first company to build commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellations. With an initial investment of over $100 million, Orbitworks aims to produce fifty 500 kg satellites annually. Founded in 2017, Loft Orbital brings extensive expertise, technology and a strong reputation to the effort to support a wide range of organizations in telecommunications, earth observation and scientific research.

Orbitworks is set to begin construction on a state-of-the-art facility that will use advanced hardware, software and industrial technologies for the integration and testing of satellites.

RapidWorks has reserved parts for its first ten prosthetics, the first of which will be available in the first calendar year of 2026. Orbital will help with that vision of RapidWorks Loft delivering any payload in the shortest possible time.

ArbidWorks also has partnerships with local technology manufacturers and suppliers in the United Arab Emirates..

The first satellite platform is expected to be assembled, integrated and tested by early 2025. Loft and Marlon have started recruiting talent internationally and in the UAE, focusing on hardware, software, test engineering and other aerospace engineering fields.

The UAE has developed one of the most advanced AI ecosystems globally, and Orbitworks collaborates with AI companies and research institutions to provide a pathway to deploy their applications into orbit.

We have long believed in the dynamism and growth of the UAE’s space sector and are proud to play a small part in the country’s journey to becoming a space powerhouse. From the moment we first met Marlon Space, we were excited about their vision to bring scaled production and operations of LEO satellite constellations to the UAE. We are delighted to support and partner with all players in the country’s space, satellite, cloud and AI industries.
