Shinas Port Signs $64.9 Million Deal to Build Fuel Tanks and Expand Services
Muscat – Shinas Port signed an agreement with Zuhoor Al Khaleej on Tuesday to build fuel tanks and manage supply and storage services at the port.
The contract, valued at RO25,605,500, covers the construction of tanks with a total capacity of over 100,000 tonnes.
The agreement was signed by QSS Maritime’s CEO Abdulbagi Ahmed Al Kindi (the company that operates Shinas Port) and Zuhoor Al Khaleej’s Chairman Wahid Inad Mansour Yan.
In a statement to Oman News Agency, Shinas Port Executive Director Qader Ali Al Mamari explained that the agreement is part of a strategy to expand commercial activities at the port, particularly through the development of storage and fuel delivery services and the provision of tanks for various petroleum products.
Maamari noted that the new project will improve commercial activities at the port, meet the needs of neighboring areas, and increase the port’s ability to attract investment.
