The JEE Main 2025 exams are scheduled to be held in multiple phases for Paper 1, which is a critical examination for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in top institutions such as NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other state-recognized universities. For Paper 1, the test will be administered on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2025. In addition to being the entrance exam for admission to the esteemed Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Paper 1 is intended for candidates pursuing a BE or BTech.
Additionally, Paper 2 will take place on January 30, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM for applicants interested in pursuing BArch (Bachelor of Architecture) and BPlanning (Bachelor of Planning) courses. BArch will be the subject of Paper 2A, while BPlanning applicants will be the subject of Paper 2B. These two documents are essential for candidates wishing to work in urban planning or architecture.
Candidates might anticipate the following format for the several papers in the examination mode:
In order to ensure efficiency and accuracy in evaluation, Paper 1 will be administered as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), enabling applicants to take the exam digitally.
In Paper 2A (BArch), CBT will be utilized in subjects like mathematics and aptitude. However, candidates must complete the Drawing Test offline on A4-sized sheets provided by the testing facility.
In order to make the exam procedure more uniform and accessible, Paper 2B (BPlanning) will also be administered in CBT mode for questions based on mathematics, aptitude, and planning.
On January 22, 2025, the first JEE Main 2025 session for Paper 1 will start, and it will end on January 29. Since there may be variations in shifts or schedules from day to day, candidates preparing for this session should be aware of the dates of their individual exams.
