New MoU Signed to Boost Healthcare for UAE Blue-Collar Workers
Emirates and India unite to ensure affordable, ethical healthcare for blue-collar workforce through strategic partnership

New MoU Signed to Enhance Healthcare Access for UAE’s Blue-Collar Workers
Dubai, UAE – An important step was taken in Dubai with the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve healthcare support for blue-collar workers. The goal of the agreement is to improve low-income employees’ access to healthcare and reduce healthcare disparities within the United Arab Emirates.
Senior officials and influential members of the health sector attended the signing ceremony to establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which marks a concerted effort to improve the well-being and living conditions of workers, who serve as the foundation for many UAE companies.
The initiative is the result of collaboration between UAE and Indian stakeholders, united by a shared goal of promoting health equity for the underprivileged. It reflects the commitment of both countries to work hand in hand for the welfare of workers, who have made valuable contributions to the growth and development of the UAE.
Faizal Kottikollon, the founder of the initiative, expressed his appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Health Authority, and Dr. Amer Ahmed Sharif for their support in making this vision a reality.
Speaking at the event, Kottikollon highlighted the broader purpose of the agreement. “This MoU goes beyond a simple healthcare collaboration. It signifies a strong commitment to blue-collar labor, which is essential in determining the prosperity of the UAE. Our goal is to provide them with high-quality, creative and compassionate healthcare solutions that respect their needs and dignity.”
Kottikollan thanked the UIBC-UC team, the Embassy of India and the Consulate General in the UAE for their hard work and collaboration in making this initiative a reality.
By providing reliable and affordable healthcare to underserved and marginalized workforce groups, the new partnership hopes to establish itself as a benchmark for ethical and socially conscious healthcare. This project is expected to pave the way for more such projects in the future that focus on inclusive healthcare approaches in this area.
