Mohammed bin Rashid Meets ‘Camel Trek’ Participants
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Commends Participants of 10th Annual 'Camel Trek

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, extended a warm welcome to the participants of the 10th annual ‘Camel Trek’ during a meeting held at the Seih Al Salam area in the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, Dubai.
The camel trekkers, embarking on a remarkable 12-day journey, were on their way to the Heritage Village in Global Village, tracing a path through the diverse landscapes of the UAE desert. The expedition, organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre, commenced from the Arada area in Abu Dhabi and concluded in Dubai.
During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the progress of the trek by Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, who led the journey. The multinational group of 37 participants represented 16 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Yemen, India, China, Australia, Mexico, Russia, Belarus, and the UAE.
Covering a total distance of 557 km, the trekkers navigated through various terrains, showcasing the cultural and geographical richness of the UAE desert. The expedition aligned with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s vision to promote tolerance, understanding, and coexistence.
Bin Dalmook emphasized that the event’s inception was inspired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s visionary directives, highlighting the commitment to preserving Emirati heritage and fostering principles of tolerance and coexistence.
“The meeting between His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the participants in the 10th edition of ‘Camel Trek’ underscores the commitment to upholding authentic values and principles, preserving the Emirati heritage and promoting the principles of tolerance, understanding and coexistence that define our nation,” he said.
This annual event not only celebrates the enduring heritage of the UAE but also serves as a testament to the nation’s dedication to promoting cultural understanding and unity through experiences that showcase the beauty of its landscapes and traditions.
