Encouraging Work Environment in Saudi Arabia Boosts Employment Opportunities for Indian Women
Riyadh. Nov 3: The encouraging work environment in Saudi Arabia has led to an increase in the number of Indian women seeking employment here, the country’s Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development said.
In an interview, the spokesperson of the ministry also mentioned that Indian nationals, including women, play an important role in Saudi Arabia’s labor market.
He further said in this regard:
In recent years, the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development has introduced various labor reforms to improve the working conditions of foreign workers. The focus is on ensuring the safety of workers during recruitment, as well as information sharing, joint investigations and building capacity to combat forced labour.
Workers are encouraged to file complaints related to wages, contract terms or misconduct. It is ensured that these complaints are properly attended to and legal action is taken where necessary.
Medical insurance is mandatory for all private sector employees in Saudi Arabia. All employees have heat protection regulations and summer working hours.
These reforms improve workers’ rights and ensure that our policies and work practices are up to international standards.
