Emirates Franchise Celebrates 10th Anniversary with New Leadership and Vision

The Emirates Association for Franchise Development (FAD), now rebranded as Emirates Franchise, commemorated its 10th anniversary with the announcement of a newly restructured board of directors and the launch of a refreshed corporate identity. This milestone underscores the Association’s mission to foster the UAE’s franchising landscape and support entrepreneurial growth across the nation.

The announcement was made at the first Abu Dhabi Business Week, which was hosted by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED).

Emirates Franchise was established in 2014 by the ADCCI and has continuously sought to improve the local business environment. In line with the UAE Centennial 2071 vision, which aims to establish the UAE as a preeminent global center for innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth, the organization seeks to expand investment opportunities for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).

New Leadership to Drive Vision

The revamped board is chaired by Noor Al Tamimi, an ADCCI Board Member, with representatives from across all seven Emirates. Key members include:

  • Maher Al Aleeli, Vice President of Emirates Franchise and Board Member of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Mohamed Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi, Director-General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
  • Ammar Al Aleeli, Director-General of Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Aref Khalifa Al Mizki, Ras Al Khaimah Chamber Board Member.
  • Sultan Jemei Al-Hindassi, General Director of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Saleh Abdullah Lootah, General Director of Al Islami Foods Company and Chairman of the Executive Committee.

The diverse leadership reflects a unified effort to promote franchising as a pivotal tool for economic growth and development across the UAE.

Strategic Focus for a Thriving Franchise Sector

With its updated identity, Emirates Franchise positions itself as a strategic ally for businesses, driving sustainable investment opportunities and fostering innovation. Chairperson Noor Al Tamimi highlighted the Association’s commitment to building a competitive and robust business environment, enabling entrepreneurs to harness franchising for growth and expansion.

By strengthening collaborations with both local and international stakeholders, Emirates Franchise aims to empower brands to innovate and scale effectively. The organization’s initiatives will include:
