With anticipation building, more than 2,300 exhibitors and representatives hailing from over 165 countries are eagerly preparing for the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024, poised to be the most extensive travel and tourism exhibition in the region. Taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) over four days, this highly anticipated event is set to attract over 41,000 industry experts, casting a spotlight on the pivotal role of innovation in shaping the future of travel and tourism.

Under the theme “Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship,” ATM 2024 promises to showcase a diverse spectrum of participants, ranging from established industry leaders to dynamic startups. Despite the cancellation of the official ATM press conference on May 3 due to adverse weather conditions, organizers and strategic partners such as the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Emirates, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Al Rais Travel remain steadfast in their commitment to delivering an unparalleled expo experience.

ATM 2024 is primed to offer attendees an immersive journey into the latest innovations and trends shaping the travel landscape. Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME at Arabian Travel Market, has unveiled an exciting lineup spread across two stages—the Global Stage and the new Future Stage. Industry luminaries will take the stage to address emerging trends and opportunities propelling growth within the travel and tourism sector.

A highly anticipated addition to ATM 2024 is the Entrepreneurship-focused summit, dedicated to exploring the transformative role of startups in the Middle East economy and spotlighting their innovative approaches. Additionally, the ATM Start-Up Pitch Battle, in collaboration with Emirates Group’s Intelak, will provide a platform for budding innovators to showcase their cutting-edge solutions.

Notably, ATM 2024 has witnessed a substantial increase in participating hotel brands, signaling a 21% year-on-year rise, coupled with a noteworthy 58% surge in new Travel Technology products showcased. The expo will introduce several new destinations, including China, Macao, Kenya, Guatemala, and Colombia, while welcoming back returning countries such as Spain and France.

The proceedings will kick off with a dedicated India Summit, focusing on India’s burgeoning outbound travel market and its potential as a key source market for tourism growth. Titled “Unlocking the True Potential of Inbound Indian Travellers,” the Summit will delve into current trends and future opportunities in Indian tourism.

Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), emphasized the transformative theme of ATM 2024, aligning with efforts to drive growth beyond traditional tourism through entrepreneurship and innovation. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of 129 stakeholders and partners joining the Dubai stand at ATM, underscoring the importance of public-private partnerships in fostering tourism development.
