Rain and Frost Across UAE as Temperatures Drop; Weekend to Bring Cloudy Skies
Dubai: The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow rain notice for certain areas, including Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, as light to moderate rain continues to fall over the United Arab Emirates today, January 3.
Rainfall Across UAE Regions
Al Ajban, Al Rahba, Al Raha Beach, Umm Yifenah Island, and Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi were among the locations where the NCM observed rainfall. There was also mild to moderate rain at Al Khasna, Al Ain.
Earlier today, Dubai experienced mild to moderate rainfall, which was a welcome change in the weather. At the same time, frost formed on Mount Jais near Ras Al Khaimah, emphasizing how colder it is up higher.
Highlights of Temperature
In Al Quaa, Al Ain, and Kalba in Sharjah, the hottest temperature ever recorded in the United Arab Emirates today was 23.6 degrees Celsius. Coastal regions saw lower temperatures, ranging from 11 to 16 degrees Celsius.
Forecast for the Weekend Weather
This weekend’s weather is predicted to stay partly cloudy to cloudy, which will make it cool and comfortable.
Slow Warm-Up According to anticipated NCM estimates, temperatures will begin to slightly increase on Monday morning. But as the temperature rises, there’s a chance that fog or mist would form in some places, especially in the early morning, which would enhance the UAE’s winter’s seasonal attractiveness.
