Dubai: 18 more locations to get ticketless paid parking, says Parkonic
Emirates accelerates smart city goals as Parkonic expands its automated parking system across key Dubai hotspots

Dubai Expands Smart Parking Network with 18 New Ticketless Locations via Parkonic-Salik Partnership
The smart parking solutions company Parkonic has announced that 18 new locations in Dubai would offer ticketless paid parking. This expansion is a component of a new partnership between Parkonic and Salik that aims to use cutting-edge technology to make parking easier and barrier-free for drivers.
Manual payments or paper slips are no longer necessary thanks to Parkonic’s ticketless system. Instead, it calculates parking time and fees using automatic license plate recognition. The payments are then paid in cash at on-site kiosks or immediately debited from the user’s wallet using the Parkonic app.
New Locations Announced
Starting next week, the ticketless parking system will be operational in the following areas:
-
Union Coop branches in Nad Al Hamar, Al Twar, Silicon Oasis, Al Qouz, Al Barsha, Mankhool, and Umm Suqeim
-
Heera Beach
-
Park Islands
-
Cedre Villas Community Centre
-
Burj Vista
-
Al Qasba
-
Lulu Al Qusais
-
Marina Walk
-
West Palm Beach
-
The Beach JBR
-
Opus Tower
-
Azure Residence
These additions bring greater ease to residents and visitors, especially in popular residential, retail, and leisure areas.
How It Operates:
Drivers who want to utilize Parkonic’s ticketless service need to:
-
Download the Parkonic App
-
Create an account and register their vehicle’s license plate
-
Top up their digital wallet
When they enter a Parkonic-enabled parking location, cameras automatically recognize the vehicle and log the time. Upon exit, the system deducts the parking fee directly from the user’s account. For those who prefer not to use the app, cash payment is available at on-site pay stations.
Growing Presence Across UAE
While Parkonic’s core operations are in Dubai—servicing locations such as Dubai Harbour, Museum of the Future, Global Village (premium), and Sofitel Downtown—it also has a growing presence in Abu Dhabi (WTC, Shams Boutik, Arc Tower) and Sharjah (Majestic Towers), including Khorfakkan’s Al Suhub Rest House.
This initiative supports Dubai’s broader push toward digital transformation and smart city infrastructure, making daily commutes and urban experiences more seamless for residents and visitors alike.
