UAE Landmarks Light Up with Lebanese Flag in Solidarity Campaign
The UAE’s main landmarks are illuminated with the Lebanese flag and map, with the slogan ‘The UAE stands with Lebanon’.
This symbolic act is a potent show of sympathy and support for Lebanon during a trying period.
The Burj Khalifa, Mubadala Tower, and the ADNOC Building were among the iconic structures that took part in this demonstration of fraternity and solidarity.
The pro-Lebanon campaign was launched on the orders of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in succession to Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. and under the supervision of Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidential Court for Development and Veterans Affairs and President of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council.
The campaign started on Tuesday, October 8 and will continue till Monday, October 21, 2024. So far relief aid has been collected at the Dubai Exhibition Center in Expo City and Abu Dhabi Ports Cruise Terminal, totaling 20,000 boxes of relief aid, food parcels and shelter items.
Sharjah Expo Center will host a humanitarian collection event on Saturday, October 19 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. This initiative is a joint initiative of The Big Heart Foundation, Sharjah Foundation and the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council.”
