Dubai enhances mobility options as Bolt partners with Dubai Taxi Co. to offer versatile ride-hailing services

Bolt Launches in Dubai with Dubai Taxi Partnership to Expand Ride Options
Dubai: Ride-hailing platform Bolt has entered Dubai with a partnership with Dubai Taxi Co. to expand ride options for residents and visitors.
So, through the Bolt app, users can choose from limousines from fleet partners, including cars that fall under the Dubai Taxi umbrella.
The next phase of Bolt’s platform expansion will include taxi services, thereby “creating a versatile and sustainable mobility ecosystem in Dubai,” a senior Dubai Taxi Co. official said.
It could expand to other emirates, and add delivery services, e-scooters and car rentals “in the future.”
Whether visitors or residents in the UAE, there is a need for more ride-hailing services. Dubai aims to generate 80% of the city’s taxi rides through digital platforms in the next few years. The partnership between Bolt and Dubai Taxi Go, which was formed in October, will help with this.
“Dubai has always enjoyed a surge in ridership,” said Mansour Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company.
“Bolt’s arrival adds valuable choice to our community, ensuring that getting around the UAE is easy and accessible through cross-functional mobility that integrates cars, taxis, micro-mobility solutions and more.”

Headquartered in Estonia, Bolt already operates its platform in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, as well as some key European markets.
Initially, users will have access to Bolt’s ‘standard’ rides, with ‘Bolt XL’ for larger groups and ‘Bolt Premium’ for luxury rides.
Rental services
The potential for Bolt to add car rentals as part of its future service in Dubai could have an impact. Auto industry sources are talking about new residents who are willing to consider car rentals to take care of their mobility needs, even if it’s for a long time. At least in the early years.
“These days, it’s not a straightforward process to go to a car showroom to buy a new or used car and become a resident,” said one dealer. “Car rentals and car subscriptions are on the rise in the UAE.”
“Dubai’s strategic location makes it an ideal destination for visitors from around the world, creating an ideal platform to capitalize on the growing market demand,” said Eduard Suchanek, Bolt’s regional manager for the Middle East and North Africa.
