Dubai, UAE: iyris, formerly known as RedSea, a leading innovator in sustainable AgriClimate technology, renowned for its advancements in commercial farming in hot climates across the globe, has officially unveiled a significant partnership with Sherwood Middle East (Sherwood). Sherwood, a major distributor of agricultural supplies and a key subsidiary of Silal, has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with iyris for its revolutionary SecondSky greenhouse covers in the UAE market.

This newly established agreement marks a pivotal expansion of Sherwood’s product offerings, now incorporating advanced agricultural coverings tailored for the farming industry. Under this exclusive partnership, Sherwood has been appointed as the sole distributor of the SecondSky greenhouse covers within the UAE, significantly enhancing the accessibility and distribution of these innovative products throughout the country.

The agreement is poised to substantially accelerate the sales and marketing efforts of iyris’ SecondSky agricultural covers. Sherwood will stock these cutting-edge products across its numerous branches in the UAE, ensuring they are readily available to its broad customer network. This collaboration is set to play a crucial role in addressing the growing demand for sustainable agricultural solutions in the region.

SecondSky greenhouse covers are engineered to offer exceptional performance in harsh climatic conditions. These covers effectively block near-infrared heat radiation, leading to a notable reduction in energy consumption by over 40 percent. They also decrease water usage by 30 percent, which translates to significant cost savings for farmers. Furthermore, SecondSky greenhouse covers enhance profitability by 28 percent through improved farming operations, increased yield, and superior produce quality. This technological advancement supports more sustainable farming practices in the challenging hot climate of the UAE.
