UAE reaffirms commitment to supporting Afghanistan’s development and strengthening bilateral relations

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Meets Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister in Abu Dhabi
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, in Abu Dhabi today.
Strengthening relations through enhanced cooperation
The UAE’s commitment to helping the friendly Afghan people achieve their goals of security, growth, and prosperity as well as to supporting Afghanistan’s progress and development was reaffirmed by the UAE High Commissioner, who greeted the Afghan Minister.
In order to accomplish the shared goals of both nations and to improve the prosperity and well-being of their respective populations, the two sides talked about methods to improve their bilateral relations during the meeting. They also shared opinions on matters of mutual interest on a regional and global level.
Additionally, they discussed how to support Afghanistan’s development and reconstruction efforts in order to support its development plans and objectives, especially in the economic and development sectors, while maintaining the solid and historic ties that bind the two friendly nations and peoples.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh.
